Q: How much would it cost to replace a broken dashboard for a 1999 Dodge Ram?
Im trying to restore my dad's 1999 Dodge Ram, the dashboard was smashed and i currently for now sper glued it. lol. How much would it cost to purchase and install it with another original dashboard? Where it be the cheapest, and would it be best if i go to the dodge dealership and get the product there?
A: if its still available id go to a dealer for one,their as cheap as anyone else is on them,i asked for one for my truck and at first they told me they was a discontinued part,then three days later they called and said it was in,cost was around 200 bucks through a local dealer to me on the part,good luck.

Q: I need to drain the fuel tank on a 1999 Dodge Ram diesel truck and dont know the best way to do it?
I need to drain my fuel tank on my DIESEL 1999 dodge ram truck and do not know how exactly to go about it. It has a plastic tank and a mechanic told me not to let the fuel pump pump it out when I remove the filter because it would burn up the pump.
A: The fuel pump on your vehicle, or another hooked up to the line on the tank is probably your only option. The filler neck is equipped with a rollover valve that won't let a hose pass to siphon.
NOTE: The pump runs continually when the engine is running, so it will not burn up pumping out the tank. You may have to get a battery charger to hook up to your battery to keep it from running down.
Q: Why is my 1999 Dodge Ram making this noise?
I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with 70000 miles. It just started making a strange clanking sound today. The sound seems to speed up when I accelerate and barely happen at all when I am idling or in park. The noise seems to go away at high speeds, but I can't tell for sure. The noise almost sounds like marbles are rolling around inside the engine. Has anyone had this problem or might know what it is? Thanks!
[UPDATE!] I just checked out the engine compartment again and noticed that the serpentine belt seems to be slipping on the fan wheel. The entire fan housing seems to jump out of the engine about a 1/2" when the belt slips. I dont know if it is the fan's movement that is causing the belt slippage, or if it is the belt causing the fan to move. Any ideas?
A: a water pump bearing can make a rattle noise,especially if the belt is loose.
Q: why are my low beams not working on 1999 Dodge Ram Sport?
1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport, 318, 2 wheel drive. The low beams do not work. I have high beams, and all other lights. I have changed the multifunction switch and plug, and headlamp switch. I need help
A: you may also want to check both bulbs really good in it, i know it sound like it couldn't happen but i got one in that both low beams had went out at the same time and this does happen, its rare but it happens once in a while,what jackolan,said is also correct the wires in the column can break and cause this too happen you,ll have to check everything,good luck with it.

I have a 1999 Ram 2500 Quad Cab with tan cloth seats. I am looking for a front leather seats. A salvage dealer has a set of seats from a 1999 Ram 1500 Club Cab. Will these seats fit?
A: measure the base of them ,most of the time they will interchange ,but before you buy them just measure the base they mount on,that will tell you for sure,and measure the distance between bolts,and the base of those are changeable,so that they can be used on other vehicles,good luck.
Q: 1999 Dodge Ram, hollowing noise while driving?
I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500, gas engine, this is making a hollowing noise, the noise is coming up threw gap between Truck Bed and Truck Cab, it makes noise when giving truck gas and goes away when truck is coasting with no gas applied. What is this, not a mechanical problem or tires. How to fix?

1999 dodge ram 1500 4x4 oem rearend gears, I was told their is a special kind of chrysler made rearend fluid that has a special ingredient to make it a stronger lube, can anyone tell me what it is?
A: Any 75W-90 gear lube that meets the American Petroleum Institute (API's) GL-5 specification will work. That type of gear lube is sold at any auto parts store.
*Edit* - No, all gear oil is not the same...it comes in different weights, like motor oil, from 80W-90 (the stuff that smells bad), to 75W-140. Any GL-5 rated gear oil is fine for hypoid-type diffs w/ a limited-slip. Just make sure it says 'GL-5' on the little API emblem on the back.
Q: 1999 dodge ram heater not blowing out hot?
own a 1999 dodge ram when i turn the heater on it just blows out warm. i have replaced the thermostat and heater core to try and fix the problem but it still wont blow out hot. what else could be causing it to just blow out warm air?
A: did you make sure the blend doors was working right on it and did you flush the block out before you replaced the heater core,because if not you may have pushed rust and debris over in to the heater core causing it to get stopped up ,and that will cause a low heat situation on that truck,i own a 99 model and i have had a time out of it this year getting the heat back,i hadn't used it since last year and this year i have flushed it out twice ,including the engine block and finally got the heat back in it,a bad water pump will also cause the coolant not to circulate fast enough and cause that too happen to it,good luck.

I have a dodge ram 1500 and need to know what the part name is for the bar, bridge or rod frame name is called to hold the transmission up from falling when shifting gears.
A: if you actually need a cross member you can get one from a salvage yard for about 50 bucks used,and there's nothing wrong with a used one,it may be dirty ,but it will be in good shape,and it sure beats buying a new one,good luck.

A: any suspension shop can install one on it, i got a 2 inch lift on mine just to run larger tires on it,rancho makes a real good lift kit for those trucks,good luck.

A: you need to go over it real well and make sure its tuned right ,it should get a little bit more than that ,its not going to get a lot more,but it will do better than that,it sounds like the plugs and wires may be getting some age on them,id try a good basic tune up first,it cant hurt,it just by tuning it up you could re-gain a lot of your mileage back,those didn't do that good though when they was new,around 17-19 on the highway and about 12=15 in the city ,that was about it on mileage,good luck.

A: Any parts store should have you gaskets, but if not Google up EDELBROCK.COM or SUMMIT RACING and they will hook you up with all you need with good products for your 360. Their cam kits are awesome.
Q: Can a 1999 24 valve v10 8.0 diesel engine fit into a 07 dodge ram 1500 gas?
I was just wanting to know if it is possable. because i have a 1999 dodge ram 24valve v10 8.0 diesel engin in my old truck but i love both and i want to put my old truck in my new please help me out.
A: the v-10 is not a diesel engine and you cant install it unless you had a complete parts truck to do it with,and they did build a lot of ram trucks with a v-10 in them,they just wasn't good on fuel like a diesel engine was,but there's a lot of parts to change out to make it work in that truck,you could literally buy a truck for what it would cost you,good luck.
