Q: How do you wire subs into a stock 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 system?
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 that I would like to add subs to. I have a 1200 watt Sony Xplod amp and two 10" Xplod subs. How do you add the amplifier into the stock system? Which wires go to what etc
A: Seems to me the stock radio may not have the low signal rca inputs on the back for the sub amplifier...
Now your going to have to use the speaker inputs for the high input on the amplifiers...

A: There are many factors that determine how much you are going to pay. It is not only the vehicle you drive, other contributing factors are your age, your driving record, where you live, (in the city or out in the country) if you are going to use it for work or for pleasure. Check around several places for quotes, I would stick with a insurance company that is a one company insurance, like state farm, allstate, nationwide, etc. because you can get better service from then when you need them, not independent insurance agents.

I drive a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and I am wondering why it is listed as the most popular stolen vehicle in Texas? I assume that it is because they are abundant and probably easy to steal, but I was wondering if it was for any other reason that I was unaware of?
A: I have read that they are not anymore abundant in Texas than any other pick-up truck. I know that they are not any easier for a pro to steal. I guess it is more profitable to steal a Dodge than any other. And when you really think about it, who would want any other pick-up in Texas or anywhere. It is the best all around pick-up for the money. I'll ask my friend in the insurance business and find out if there is another reason. ok. I once found out that more ships are lost off of northwestern Africa than the Bermuda Triangle area. So he will know.
Q: what is the diameter of the exhaust pipe on a 2004 dodge ram 3500 diesel?
i was wondering if anyone knew the diameter of the exhaust pipe BEFORE the muffler? this is on the original exhaust system. i want to put stacks on a 2004 dodge ram 3500 diesel and need to know this info. i am in va and the truck is in ny and cant get ahold of the guy right now that i am buying it from. i already went to a dealer and they were clueless.
A: DON"T LISTEN TO 45 CAL....The 03 SO (Standard Output) and older CTD came with the 47re Transmission.
The 03 and 04 HO (High Output) 5.9L cummins Turbo Diesel came with the 48re transmission. They are just as capable as the 04.5 CTD's except they have 20 HP less at the crank and 55lb/ft of torque less. Which a power chip can change very easily!

***45 Cal....all your knowledge on the CTD is on your 04.5. Dude....I still have my bill of sale and WOW.... you would be amazed 48re 4 speed automatic on my 04 High Output 5.9L CTD. You should actually do some research on CTD's before you comment on anything but your 04.5 CTD. You will actually find out that 03 and 04 High Output 5.9L CTD's with the 4 speed auto came with 48re Transmission.

The 04 HO Cummins Turbo Diesel came with a 3.5 inch Turbo to muffler exhaust and 4 inch muffler to tail. The nice thing about the 03 and 04 HO Cummins compared to the 04.5 and newer was no Litter box (Catalytic converter).
The 04.5 and newer come with 4 inch turbo back exhaust system but with a litter box.
I have a 04 CTD with the HO and I placed on the Edge Juice with Attitude, AFE stage 2 CAI, and a diamond eye free flow exhaust. I kept the 3.5 inch pipe to the bend and added 4 inche pipe beyond and located the Diamond eye muffler where the stock was sitting. I have had no issues with power and EGT's.
The 4 inch turbo back exhaust is the way most guys are going to keep the back pressure up for towing or lauching as a larger 5 inch you will lose alot of low end grunt/torque but gain power in the higher speeds.
Q: What lift and wheels should I get for my 2004 Dodge Ram?
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab. I want to lift it and get some big knobby tires. I don't like other peoples trucks being bigger than mine. But at the same time I don't want some monster truck looking thing that I can't get into (I am only 5'3").
What would you suggest for me to get?
Right now I have the 20"Chrome dodge rims, I can't find any good tires to fit them so I guess I need new rims too.
So let me know what you think I should do with my baby.

A: go with a 6 inch lift and 33 to 35 inch tires
this is a nice lift that you can still get into
i have a 4 inch lift and 30 inch tires. the lift looks good but i definitately need bigger tires.
the 35 but hit the well i will most likely go with 33s so as to not pay for another lift.
if you go with a 6 inch lift, you will have the room to add anything you want instead of being so limited as me.
Q: How do you take back brake covers off 2004 Dodge Ram to replace bulbs?
2004 Dodge Ram brake light out, need to take cover off to get to bulbs. How?
A: when you lower the tail gait look for the two torx crews that hold it on when you remove them the light assembly comes out then you remove the bulbs from the back of the assembly,easy job,also make sure you use the right sized bulbs back in it or it will flash too fast of its the one for the tum signals,good luck.

A: there should be two little buttons on the stereo. One has an "M" for minutes, and one has a "H" for hour. Use a toothpick, or pen to push them in, and the time should change
Q: How much weight can my 2004 Dodge Ram hold on its tailgate?
I would like to buy ramps and drive a 1000lb.golf cart up into my Dodge Ram? Do I need to remove the tailgate or will it support the weight?
A: each cable will hold about 2-300 pounds real easy the problem is the tail gate may buckle on it if you put to much weight on it, i drive a 4 wheeler up on mine though and it doesn't hurt it and it weighs around 800 pounds,they,ll hold more than their rated to hold,good luck

A: Wouldn't recommend. Powertrain was designed for AWD and you will be placing 100% of the stress & strain on the rear components. I imagine you are trying to save gas or would like to burn rubber, but don't do it.

A: if you have about 250 then i would go with a cold air intake first. if you have about 500 then i would get the cold air intake and then get a cat back exhaust. i put those two items on my 2001 dodge ram 1500 quad cab that has a 5.2 v-8 and i picked up around 10-15 hp and at least 1 mpg. also there is a great improvement in throttle response and it sounds great

Hello, I need to know what other year types of Ram 1500's clusters work on my 2004 Ram 1500, without any problems. This is the base model, no power windows, no power door locks. Mine got wet and I need a new one.
A: i know an 03 model will fit it because i have changed one out before beyond that i don't know the guy that sold me the 03 model said it had to be 03 or newer to work right on it,anyway the 03 worked right without having to change anything on it,but their high we had to pay 150 bucks for one,so shop around before you buy the first one you find,i later found one for 100 bucks,good luck on it,

I always bring my vehicle to the sealership for maintenance because I feel more secure. I am very skeptical about some $8.00 kid changing my oil at a JIFFY lube. The forgot to add front differential fluid in my friends JEEP and the dealer had to replace to whole front differential assembly at a cost of $1500.00. There is nothing wrong with trusting your vehicle to factory trained mechanics, well worth the price and security.
