A: well your rpms are read from the alternator so you ether have the rong alternator or the pully on it is the rong size giveing you a false reading

A: No. The '81 uses a different bolt pattern from the '06.
Q: 2006 ford f150 clutch where do you check fluid and what type does it use?
A: First of all, regarding your previous question, when the clutch "engages too soon", and has a hard time disengaging (hard to shift), that is not a worn out clutch disc. The symptoms of that would be precisely the opposite. It would disengage early, and would start to slip sooner or later. There would be no difficulty changing gears.
Either a hydraulic problem or one of a couple of different internal mechanical malfunctions are most likely the cause. If you have a leak, you will need to replace the entire assembly, as that is the way it is sold, with no individual parts available.
The master cylinder is located towards the center of the vehicle from the brake (yes Todd and Willy, that's how it's spelled) master cylinder. It uses DOT3 brake fluid, just like the brake hydraulic system.

Oh and "hydrolic"? No wonder that mechanics get a reputation as high school dropouts who aren't qualified to do anything else. And judging by the number who said your clutch disc is worn out, not even that.

The front driver's side of my 2006 Ford F150 blinks faster than the ones on the passenger side in the front and back, and the driver's side in the back, which all blink in unison. I'm not sure what the problem is so any answers and solutions to the problem would be very helpful. Thanks!
A: It sounds miswired. Like, somebody wired three corners into on side of the switch and one corner into the other. The front drivers flashes fast because only one bulb is on that circuit and the flasher is suppose to blink fast if just one bulb is hooked to it.
It could also be a bad switch sending voltage to three corners in one position and only one corner in the other.
