Q: Aftermarket radio/navigation system for a 2007 Ford F150.?
My husband recently purchased a 2007 Ford F150 Crew Cab. I've been at a loss for a christmas gift for him. I decided that I want to purchase and have installed an aftermarket in dash radio/gps navigation system. Any thoughts on a good one that you like? I don't know much about them.

A: Hopefully this helps. Here's a list of some that will fit your F-150: http://www.crutchfield.com/g_182350/In-dash-GPS-Navigation.html http://www.bestbuy.com/site/GPS-Navigation/In-Dash-GPS/abcat0301002.c?id=abcat0301002

Q: 2007 ford f150.................?
do you think 20 inch rims on a 2007 ford f150 2wd is to big of a rim?

A: Considering the 2006 Harley Davidson Edition F150 sports 22's right from the factory, 20's should not have clearance issues. Personally, I think they are silly looking, but they will fit.........

Q: Are there different types of Ford F150 brake rotors 2007 one with hub attached and one without hub attached?
I am told by a mechanic at Just Brakes that my 2007 ford F150 has the kind of rotors that has to be turned while they are still mounted on the truck and that would take a special machine and their machine was down at that time. He suggested that because the hub and rotors are made as one unit, I have them to removed and replace the rotors with the kind of rotors that would not have the hub and rotors as one unit and the next time I need rotors they could be turned on a machine as normal and save me close to $200.00 each. Does this make sense? I believed him and paid i am embarrassed to say over $900.00. after the fact the same day i went back to try to correct my mistake but he would not hear of it and told me to call the cooperate office of cause the only thing i was allowed to do was leave a message. Does this sound right? What should i do.

A: BBB, report then, you was taken

Q: Can I install sound system in 07 Ford F150 with stock radio?
I'm just wondering... I just got me a new 2007 Ford F150. I like the stock radio, because it has built in satellite radio and an input aux line. Of coarse FM/AM Radio, and cd player too. I'd like to keep it but I also want to install my alpine system into it also. I just need help with on how to wire everything.

A: Yes you can keep your factory stereo and up date the rest of the system. Locate the speaker wires going to the factory speakers and cut them and install a high pass filter with rca jack to connect to the power amp (depending on how many speakers you want to upgrade). Also locate the antenna wire (color coded in blue from the back of the factory stereo) and connect it to your power amps) this will trigger the amps to turn on when the stereo is turn on. Replace the factory speakers with a name brand speaker (either component or coax for the front doors and back speakers) like JBL, Infinity, JL, Alpine, Boston for better quality and reliability. Run a power cable (red) from the battery to the power amps (type of wire guage depends on the power amp your are using) and put a fuse (normally 20 amp, also depending on amp requirement) on the connection. Ground the power amp (color coded in black) to the frame or metal of the vehicle. Using different wires, connect them to the amps and your new speakers making sure they are hidden. Subwoofer is depending on the type you want to use due to no trunk on the truck. Recommend a sealed box due to deeper bass (make sure your amp is capable in 1 to 2 OHM load, depending on how many subs and load rating and connection you use to hook them up. Again use name brand amp. hope this help and good luck. Crutchfiel can also provide you direction and the size of speaker that will fit on your truck.

Q: would a glass back on my 2007 ford f150 be to loud?

A: You can get wind noise if it is a slider with bad seals.

Q: can i fit 285/70/17 on my 2007 ford f150 4x4 stock height?

A: That equals about 33 inches. It'll be a tight fit, But I think it'll work. Keep in mind you're changing the overall effective gear ratio. You truck will be more sluggish than usual when accelerating and your speedometer/odometer will be off. If you have the 4.6L or the 3.08 or 3.31 rear end gears, I would advise against this.

Q: Where Do I Find The Keyless Entry Code (manufacturers) For A 2007 Ford F150?

A: The five digit keypad entry code is printed on the Vehicle Security Module. To access it requires removal of the rear seatback (assuming the vehicle in question is a Crew Cab model) and the trim panel behind. There will be three electrical connectors connected to it. Hope this helps.

Q: What are some good rims for a 2007 White Ford F150?
Pictures would be very helpful, and approximate cost?!

Q: 2007 Ford F150 rear end noise in first gear????
This truck has never had any sort of problem but today we were backing up out of a parking space, i put the truck in reverse and hit the gas the truck hesitated on moving and then it jumped into reverse and jerked real hard, felt as if we had backed over a curb...anyway we put the truck in drive and went to pull off. as i hit the gas the truck made a horrible noise that sounded as if the rear end went into a bind it roars up in first gear and squeals as it enters second but then its fine it also sounds like the rear end is free turning when coming to a stop it winds down.... i think the rear end needs to be replaced but im not sure its going to the dealer tomorrow seeing as it only has 18,000 miles on it well tell me what you think

A: Its may not be your rear end. It sounds like the torque converter or plantary gear. Oh by the way its always better to wait for the truck to ingauge the transmission Before you hit the gas.

Q: Which is better?? Magnaflow or Flowmaster? For 2007 Ford F150?
For Duals

A: There's nothing else that has that "Healthy" Flowmaster "Throaty" GROWL, a real head turner. Get the 40 series original 2 chamber Flowmaster's, some things were ment to go together, A Ford V8 and "FLOWMASTERS" ARE ONE OF "THOSE THINGS" !

Q: 2007 Ford F150 truck purchase deal or no deal?
purchased last weekend! I finance $23,000 with payments of $441 a month for six years, and today i receive a call from the dealer and there saying they saved me money because the bank would not financed the $23,000, so now they want me to sign a new contract with the amount of $17000 saying i be saving around $2,800 for 5yrs instead of 6yrs with the same monthly payment.......sounds funky to me and why my down payment wont go down,,,,please give me some advice am new $17,000 financed goes up to $20,000 since principal is less monthly payment should go down too right?

A: I answered in a previous post, heres the posting: Here is what happened: Lenders have limits on the amounts they will lend to dealers for a specific vehicle. They take the value of the vehicle and mark it up by a certain percentage. Lets say you are buying a vehicle that the bank says is worth $10,000 and lets say for your particular case you qualify for 130% advance (advance is the amount you pay divided by the value of the vehicle). So in the above example, you would qualify for a $13,000 loan. Follow? So lets say the dealer thinks you qualify for a $14000 (for whatever reason). Maybe they think the lender will be flexible, which can sometimes happen. So they have you sign the paperwork, they send it to the lender for processing, and the lenders says, "wait a minute here!" Since your loan is above policy limits, the lender rejects the paperwork and leaves it up to the dealer to fix the problem. So the dealer calls you and tries to rework the paperwork however necessary to complete the deal with all involved parties. When warranties come into play it complicates things a little bit so please ask for more specifics if your interested in knowing. The above info should be enough to help you understand. I would suspect that the dealer charged you more than they should have for the vehicle. Look into the actual value of your vehicle and evaluate whether or not you made a good purchase. You have a bit more negotiating power in this circumstance. If you have a lot of warranties, gap or other insurances then I wouldn't worry about the price you paid. they are what's causing the excess financing. How the banks value the vehicles: Most lenders in the Central and Eastern US use Nada average trade as the vehicle value. Go to www.nada.com for a pretty close estimate. West coast uses Kelly Blue Book wholesale. As far as your question about monthly payment. Use a simple interest loan calculator and play around with the numbers. Just google simple interest loan calculation. I know theres a lot here but one more thing: With a shoter term (number of months of paying), the dealer is probably getting a lower rate from the lender. The dealer has the ability to mark up the rate and usually with a lower term the dealer can mark up the rate more. On a 72 month loan the dealer may only have the power to mark up the rate by 2%, but on a 60 month term they may have the ability to mark up 3%. Bottom line: if they are lowering your term, definitely try and get a lower rate as well.

Q: 2007 Ford F150 door codes?
I have been searching for my door code on my truck, the dealer wants to charge me almost $200 to get it from them but I have been reading alot online and I found out that most models have a sticker somewhere on the truck with the 5 digit code, If someone could tell me where to find this sticker on my exact truck that would be great or if anyone has any ideas what else I can do to reset the code? The heck with Ford I found the code it is located behind the back seat under the carpet its a simple fix just a little tricky removing the seat here is a great link to help people. trust me it works took me like 20 mins. http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/idx/5/259/article/Easy_Rear_Seat_Removal_For_2004__2006_F150.html

Q: FINANCE issue DEAL OR NO DEAL 2007 Ford F150 truck purchase?
purchased last weekend! I finance $23,000 with payments of $441 a month for six years, and today i receive a call from the dealer and there saying they saved me money because the bank would not financed the $23,000, so now they want me to sign a new contract with the amount of $17000 saying i be saving around $2,800 for 5yrs instead of 6yrs with the same monthly payment.......sounds funky to me and why my down payment wont go down,,,,"could i say i dont want to sign new contract and get my $1,000 down refunded, an say heres your truck??" please give me some advice am new, $17,000 financed would go up to $20,000 the new contract!

A: It doesn't always have to be a scam. If you lend from the dealership, they get paid the interest instead of the bank. A 17,000 car after 6 years of interest amounts to a hefty sum. Do the math, never trust anyone selling you anything without looking at it 3 times. Most importantly: ask an uncomfortable amount of questions. The more you ask, the more you will know.

Q: what speakers/sub/amp/deck to get for 2007 ford f150 crew cab?
I'm looking to put a new audio system in my truck and I really don't know much about it. i'm thinking I want to do a mid range system nothing too expensive but i don't want a crap one either. I want a clean sounding system with good bass, nothing crazy,,, i still want to be able to hear the music and not just all bass. The main thing that I am wondering about is subs and an amp. how do I know what amp you need for what sub. would 1 sub be enough or is it best to go with 2? if you can list me a system that would be great thanks

A: well if your looking for something that just sounds good and has good bass go for alpine, maybe get some "type r" interior speakers and get 2 10" subs. go get a cheap little headunit from walmart, my brother just got one and its actually got good quality, its a black sony xplod. walmart also has nice amps. they have a 1000 watt amp for only 150$.
