A: there is no way to guess without knowing where the leak is coming from. could be very cheap, or very many "sterling". find out where its leaking, then come back and ask again, mate!! (oh, wait, england, not australia, sorry)

A: Perhaps surprisingly, they're only designed to work within a metre or so of the car, though they invariably have a much larger range than that. Holding the fob against your head does make a difference, it seems to use your skull as an extra aerial. Personally, I'd invest in yet another battery, just in case the one you've inserted is dud. Make sure the contact faces are absolutely clean and don't hold the battery so your fingers touch both faces.

Q: What is the release date of the Ford Fiesta in North America?
I've been looking around for the release date for the Ford Fiesta in the US and Canada. All I can find is they are using a "2011" model designation, but claim arrival in "early 2010". I've driven this Fiesta model in Europe and it's incredible to drive, cheap to run and the European ones were decent quality. If Ford can get one out in time then I'm buying one!

I have lost the only set of keys to my ford fiesta and do not know how to go about getting a replacement? It is a 2000 model, isn't electronic or anything like that. Also any guidance on how much it would cost would be much appreciated.

A: I'm going to be honest with you. It could cost a lot but lets go for the cheapest option first. If you have the handbook and documents, somewhere in there should be a card possibly the size of a credit card. This is the Key Code Card. Take this to your local Ford dealer with some ID and proof of ownership and they will order a new set for you. If you don't have the KCC, give the Ford dealer a ring and ask them if they can get it from Ford UK. They should be able to but it can take a while and they will give you the third degree (to make sure you're not a thief). There is always the possibility that the whole lock set will have to be replaced. This is the absolute last resort and could cost anything from £400 (back street) to £1000+ (main dealer). I'm sure Ford will be understanding and good luck.

Q: Why do the hot blowers not work on my Ford Fiesta?
I have recently purchased a 2000 Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 and have noticed that the hot air blowers do not come through hot. The blowers themself work fine but they always blow cold air even when at full temperature. This happens even if the engine has been running for 15-30 minutes. Any help would be great. A: Open the bonnet, look to the right hand rear and you will see a small unit with 2 pipes going into it and 2 going out of it into the car. It also has a small electrical plug going onto it. This unit has gone faulty, takes about 20 minutes to change. Trust me, I'm an auto electrician and have had to change quite a few in the last 6 or 7 years.

A: On the back of the headlight assembly you will see a plug, unplug the light remove it and then you will need to take it to a parts store and tell them you need a replacement for it, in most cases they will replace it for you which includes taking it out and replacing the Bulb.

I bought a '79 Ford Fiesta and I don't even know where the fuel filter is located. I didn't see it on the engine and i haven't looked under the frame.

A: Trace the fuel line down from the carb. there shuld be an in line filter along the frame rail. If you can.t find it pick up a hanes repair manual a your local auto parts store.

I need a new RUBBER clutch pedal. Mine has eventually worn out n came off, so now its just the metal pedal showing, which is quite dangerous when wet. I have looked on ford fiesta spare parts on the internet but cannot find a new rubber pedal. I don't like the fancy colourful ones. Just a plain, standard rubber pedal.

Looking to get rid of my car in a couple of months as im looking to buy a new one privately. A: I just scrapped my 1996 Ford Escort on Friday there - was amazed to get £140. It was rotten, broken starter, brake problems etc.. too much to re-MOT. It pays to phone around for best scrap price. When cars get a bit old, the main determining factor as to there value is - how much MOT, and if they're running ok. Door locks can be replaced for about £20 - getting parts and key from scrappy. If your car's got 6 month MOT and runs okay - you should be able to get £300 all day long, as a wee Fiesta is very desirable as a cheap/ second car. It would be well worth putting it through a MOT, A full years MOT, I'd say £700 easy - just check prices on ebay.

Q: The clutch cylinder need's replacing on my ford fiesta mk6,any idea how much it will cost?
I have a ford fiesta flame 2004 and the garage said the clutch cylinder need's replacing, how much do you think this will cost? I live in the uk. It is the slave cylinder I was quoted £450 parts and labour, but wasn't sure if this was to much or going rate.

A: Master or slave cylinder please update EDIT As the slave is located in the gear box & incorperates the release bearing Labour time is quoted as 3.8 hours priced at £100.00 + for the part alone that is not too bad an estimate what I do suggest is that, you have the complete clutch assembly changed at the same time it's only 10 minutes extra work hope this helps
