Q: How much to make a key for my 95 honda when I lost the only one?
My husband lost the key to our 95 Honda Civic. How much will it cost to have it replaced and have one made? I have the tittle and all of that. I know that some people mentioned that you need to call a dealership, but would any dealership be able to make a honda key or do I need to contact a Honda dealership? I am just trying to avoid the price of a locksmith... Any advice?

A: You can go to any Honda dealership and give them your VIN number and they can make a key for you. It will cost $10-$20.

Q: How to register my Honda moped with Michigan without the title or registration?
Hi, I have a Honda Moped that was bought brand new some 8 years ago, give or take a few. My brother registered it and everything and rode it on the street. But now I can't find it's title or registration. How can I go about registering it with the state of Michigan still?

A: you'll need the title; if it's in your brothers name, he can apply for duplicate. and then transfer to you, if you like.

Q: What causes a 1994 honda accord to overheat at a light?
WE have a 1994 Honda Accord Ex that runs great, except that it overheats at a light or when just sitting. Driving is no problem, but sitting or idling - it overheats. AC is very cold but no heat comes out when turned on. We have noticed that sometimes the fans near the radiator cut off and sometimes they run. Is this an expensive problem or cheap? Thanks!

A: new radiator , or new fan mtr sensor ?

Q: What is the best way to become Honda mechanic to work at a Honda dealership?
I have no mechanic experience and live near Los angeles and becoming a Honda or Acura mechanic is my dream.

A: You should try getting into an Automotive School/Training institution. I do know that like the prior poster said that it is flat rate, and they usually hire or should I say over hire during the slow time of the year. Which means you can stay for 8 hours and get paid for 2. Until you get to know the other technicians, service writers and managers it's going to be tough. In the flat rate world it's dog eat dog, but if you show your eager to learn, on time and can meet or beat the times given on the cars they give you, your dream can easily come true. I remember when I first started, staying 8 hours and getting paid for 1.5, but when the busy time of year came around on a good day I did 18 hours in an 8 hour shift. They no longer have any union dealerships in S.F. My advice to you is get some ASE certifications, find a shop that pays hourly, then apply for Honda once you get a feel for the trade and the grease! Once you do become employed by Honda most of the training is done online, with testing which allows you to advance in pay and Tech. ranking.Good luck and hope this helps

Q: What other car windshields are compatible with a 1994 honda accord wagon lx?
We want to replace a windshield on a 1994 honda accord wagon lx and we want to get a used one from pull a part, but there are no accords there like the wagon. So are there other cars with a same windshield like the accord wagon?

A: Used windshields are usually not a good idea because they are so easily broken while you are trying to remove them from the donor car. If there are other years/models that will fit, the wrecking yard will be able to tell you what they are.

Q: How will GM and Chrysler going into bankruptcy affect Honda production plants and sales?
Will it affect Honda in a positive way or a negative way. Please explain your reasoning.

A: If GM and Chrysler are only in chapter 11 bankruptcy I don't believe it will have much of an effect on Honda maybe their sales will go up a little as people don't want to buy vehicles from a company that may not be around in a couple of years. But if GM or Chrysler go completely out of business it may cause some parts suppliers to go out of business and that could cause parts disruption at Honda also since GM,Ford,Chrysler,Toyota, and Honda all use some of the same parts suppliers.
