Q: Where can i find 454 engine adapter mounts for 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ?
Hello, i need to install a 454 chevy engine onto a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ that currently has a 2.5L I4 w/ the manual transmission. I would like to know where i can find the engine mount adapters i already checked advanced adapters and nothing. PLEASE HELP!
A: You are gonna have to do some welding and cutting. I would first go find a big late 80's early 90's Chevy W/O engine at a boneyard and chop them out and then weld them in place of your old mounts. Thats the easiest, safest and cheapest way i know of to do that.
Q: Would you buy a 1995 Jeep wrangler se or a 2000 f150 xl 4x4?
1995 Jeep wrangler se has 100100 miles, 2000 f150 xl 4x4 has 185000 miles?
Would you buy a 1995 Jeep wrangler or a 2000 f150 xl 4x4?
The jeep is in mint condition and the truck has been used as a truck?
just wondering what the pros and cons of each were.
Thanks
A: That is like compairing apple to bannanas. As stated before it really depends on what you are expecting out of it.
Jeep: A very capable out of the box go anywere vehical. It is small, minimal towing capacity and almost no hauling capacity. Great if you only want to take 1 friend with you somewhere, but if you want to take 3 friends I feel bad for the two in the back. it can be done but it won't be the most comfortable. Parts are realativly cheap just beacuse so many people own them and there is a large aftermarket for them. So if you do decide to lift or customize it the posibilities are endless. You always hear that it is fun to drive...never heard that about a truck.
Truck: What can I say it is a truck. It will haul and tow more than the jeep, you will be able to take more friends with you (assuming it is an extended cab...but you know what they say about assuming) Being that it is 4x4 it will be able to get around in snow, mud etc. but I wouldn't exactly try and tackle the rubicon. I have never owned a ford truck so I can't say anything about the parts and such. Again, have you every heard someone say that it is fun to drive?
In a nutshell it totally depends on what your looking for. Hope that helps.
Q: Can 1995 jeep wrangler doors interchange with 1997+ doors?
I was curious if 1995 doors can be interchanged with 1997 doors on a Jeep Wrangler?? I'm looking at switching my doors on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler with the 1997 or newer Jeep Wrangler doors, so that I can have a rollup window with a frame instead of the traditional style zippered windows.
Also... this is with a soft top Jeep.
A: Nope, they are two different body styles. The 95 is a YJ and the 97 is a TJ. Top and doors are not interchangeable with these two.
YJ's came with full doors, you should be able to find some for sale somewhere!
Here is a set on Ebay - they need to be painted but you can find them out there.

Q: How much to fix A/C in 1995 Jeep Wrangler?
I may need to replace my a/c in my 1995 Jeep Wrangler, I may only need to recharge it. What is the cost for recharging and what is the cost for replacing? I live in Phoenix, AZ
A: Prices vary greatly when dealing with A/C components. A lot of times, a part such as the compressor will go bad, and the shop that repairs it will require you to replace then entire system in order to warranty their work. This is because the A/C system is under extremely high pressure, and a little piece of metal or debris can destruct the entire system. So if you had something break, you could be looking at $1500+ to replace the whole system. If all you need is a recharge, you are looking at more like $50.
Either way, I HIGHLY recommend you take your vehicle to "Virginia Auto Service." They are located on 7th Street and Virginia in Phoenix. I have used them as my personal mechanics for over 10 years and they have always done right by me. I even took my old jeep in to have them drain the A/C refrigerant once, and they told me it would cost me $45. When I picked it up, they informed me that the system was already empty and they didn't have to drain it - No Charge. They didn't have the do that. Very honest guys!
Give them a call - 602-266-0200.
Good Luck!
Q: Where is the blower motor on 1995 jeep wrangler?
I just had a new alternator put on my jeep. Now my heater blower does not work. I feel the heat, just not blowing. Every time I put a fuse in, it blows. Is the blower motor bad or the switch?
Most importantly, where IS the blower motor located?

Q: 1995 Jeep Wrangler makes a "whistling" sound?
I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler, 4 cylinder/5 speed manual transmission. And it creates an audible "whistling" sound when your foot is off the clutch, and decelerating... after it whistles for a while, it becomes constant sometimes. I have been told it's the throwout bearing, but I think it's the clutch going out on it. Now it's sometimes difficult to shift into gear. Ideas??
Could it be one of the bearings in the clutch or so I just need to start checking intake air lines again?
A: Deffinitly sounds like throw out bearing. When your foot is not on the clutch there is no pressure on the bearings so they will make more noise until it gets really bad then it will make noise no matter what. It doesnt really matter if its the clutch or the bearing cause its the same amount of work one way or the other. Trans still has to be dropped

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.fateback.com
Q: I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler and every time it rains it seems like water is getting into something because when?
I'm shifting gears and in low rpm it kind of sputters and sometimes cuts off? If i rev it up high then usually it wont die. What could water be getting into or what is it?
A: it is one of two things plug wires or cap and rotor or both.try changing the cap and rotor and see if that helps if not then plug wires.it could probably use both any way and it wont cost much.i bet if you pull the cap you will find some moisture in there.
