im looking into getting an 06 07 nissan maxima but i also like the way the altima coupe is looking. any suggestions?
A: being an owner of an 06 i will say that the max is the best way 2 go, yea u could get an altima 3.5 v6 but the max is better it as better features, its more spacious. i got mine fully loaded and with the extended warranty its not a bad price ill say. the altima coupe is fire tho ill say that. go with the max, ull love it

A: Open your hood and locate the back of your headlamp. Thereon is a twist connector. Twist it loose counter clockwise and don't drop it. Pull the lamp socket back and replace the lamp.
Q: 2000 nissan maxima factory security system how to bypass to get pulse to injectors?
i have a 2000 nissan maxima that has no injector pulse, while i disconnected the batteries i accidently touched them together and the pulse to the injectors was lost and hence no start condition began. what can i do to remedy this problem i suspect the security system is the culprit. but not sure. please help need input. i also have a good used computer that i can put in but i want to be sure that it ok to do so.
i touched the disconnected cable ends together. not while connected to the battery.
A: Sounds like you fried something. Not quite sure how you "touched what? toghther", but if you screwed up and put 24 volts into the system then ouch (maybe) Ok to put in used computer? The car won't run, so what have you got to lose. OK, just thought of something. Maybe you "reset" the autotune parameters on the computer, and they need to be reset to a factory default. Not sure how you would do that, but maybe something worth looking into.
Q: How do you program the alarm for a 2002 nissan maxima?
I recently broke my alarm transmitter for my 2002 nissan maxima and I just bought one from amazon along with programming instructions but I cannot get past the step that includes entering the key 6 times within 10 seconds. (Hazards lights do not flash) Does anyone know what may be wrong or how to properly program the alarm? Thanks for any help.

Q: How do I install a front license plate on a Nissan Maxima?
We got a Nissan Maxima and are required by law to put a plate on the front bumper (in the front window won't work). Unfortunately, there are no holes in the bumper on which to mount a plate, and I'd prefer not to drill holes in it. Is there any other way to attach a license plate to the front bumper?
A: If you look carefully at the bumper in the middle, about 1/2 way up, you will see 2 small dimples in the bumper cover. The dimples are the same distance apart that the upper lic plate screw holes are. This is where you need to install the front lic plate. The best thing to use is self tapping screws, its what the dealerships use, to install the lic plate. Usually, if you just go to the dealership, they wonl't charge you to do this because it takes about 10 seconds.

A: Actually the stock air filter wil protect the expensive mas air flow meter the best. If you add a aftermarket oiled air filter you coud ruin your air flow meter. Exhaust first then intake with a filter that won't get oil on the air flow meter and dynometer shop for a tune. Setting the fuel and timing tables will do the most to improve the power but only after you are able to make more flow in and out of the motor.

A: Nissan VQ-35 motor performance parts. Good luck there just are not many manufactures that make any parts for a MOM TAXI. Best when kept stock those Maximas will run a long time. Start messing about with air intakes oiled air filters and mas air flow meters will suffer.
Q: What does the option button on my automatic car keys do for my 1992 nissan maxima?
I just got a 1992 nissan maxima and there are three buttons. Lock, unlock, and the option button. But i can't seem to figure out what the option button does.
A: On most car keys if there are more than 2 buttons the 3rd one is usually an auxillery button. If you bought the car and the button you press doesn't open or turn on or start anything than, more than likely the option button has not been programmed to anything. It can be programmed to open the trunk, start the car, roll the windows up if you have power windows. If there is no panic button it might be that. The panic button is for when your in danger just push hold the button for 3-5 secs and the alarm or horn starts beeping. If not, I would go to your local nissan dealer and inquire about it.

I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima with worn out breaks. The brakes squeak all the time, no matter the speed, driving forward or reversing. Occasionally when turning while breaking, there is a small grinding noise too. I know I need to replace the pads, but do the rotors need to be replaced? And does the caliper assembly need to be rebuilt? If there is anything else that should be done please let me know.
A: thats hard to say without seeing the brakes, my guess would be the rotors at least need to be turned and new brake pads, its doubtful that you would need to rebuild callipers but not impossible but being that you are asking the question you did it is obvious that you have no brake experience so do yourself a favor and take it to a shop and pay them to correctly do the job for your safety and everyone around you

I have a 1998 nissan maxima and I believe that the fuel pump may have gone out. I have all electric power, and everything works inside, however I can not get the car to turn over. It makes a weezing sound when I attempt to crank and it sounds like the engine wants to start but possibly not getting any gas? Where do I find the fuel pump?
A: Your 1998 Nissan Maxima's fuel pump is in the fuel tank. There is really only one way to confirm that your fuel pump has failed and that starts by checking the fuel pressure. There is an test port in your engine bay--it looks like an over sized bicycle air valve. You can buy (or sometimes borrow) a fuel pressure tester. Your car should produce 43.5 psi of fuel pressure when the ignition key is on. (Have a professional mechanic make this check if you are not experienced.)
Low fuel pressure does not rule out a failed fuel pressure regulator but that is very uncommon. Walbro makes an original equipment replacement fuel pump for your Maxima--part number GCA3402. Some retailers also offer a 255 liter per hour high performance version but that extra fuel is completely unnecessary unless you have significantly increased the performance of your car.
