Q: Subaru impreza?
I've got a 2007 subaru impreza 2.0, what can i do to make it sound like the turbo brother. A sports exhaust maybe? That lovely purrin sound of the boxer engine.
A: ............................drop in a turbo........................
Q: subaru impreza?
What oil do i use for a subaru impreza 2.0 2007 manual.
A: Any big brand, FULL SYNTHETIC only.
Q: What are the best rims for a subaru impreza 5 door?
I have a 2008 subaru impreza 5 door wagon. What would the best looking rims be and what are the best size rims for it.
A: Check with www.tirerack.com
They have a section where you can picture your type of car with different styles of wheels to see how they look.
Q: What is the weight capacity of a 1997 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport?
I am looking for the weight capacity of the cargo area for a '97 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. I need to get about 33 Dek-Block Piers which weigh 45 pounds each and I don't want to pay for delivery (unless it'll take me more than 5 trips). I have looked and looked on the internet (I don't have a booklet for the car) but only found the liters capacity. So, if you know the pound/KG capacity, that'd be great!
A: On the driver's door frame you'll find the vehicle's capacity. GVWR is the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, the weight loaded, including any passengers and the driver. The car weights about 3050 lbs empty (but "empty" includes fluids like a full tank of gasoline). The difference in the two numbers is the vehicle's total cargo capacity.
HOWEVER, if you're loading all that weight in the rear, you should also be aware of the "tongue capacity" for towing -- 200 lbs. I'd stay below 2 or 2.5 times that over the rear axle, say no more than 400 to 500 lbs. in the rear cargo bay.
You've got to move about 1,500 pounds at 400 to 500 lbs per trip, or 3 to 4 trips. Assuming they'll fit without damaging anything, you can make your stated goal of "no more than 5 trips."
Don't forget not to exceed the GVWR: add the weight of all passengers, driver, and cargo to be sure you stay below this number.
Q: What kinds of enginge swaps could you do in a Subaru Impreza?
I have a 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX 2 liter. I know the other Imprezas have 2.5 liter engines, but aside from those what other kinds of engines do people usually drop into those things?
A: Usually, the only engine ever swapped into a WRX is the STI or 2006+ WRX 2.5l. The only reason why you really should swap for a 2.5 is if you want to run a large turbo which would generate a lot of lag with a 2.0l, it also has better overall low and mid range torque. However on a stock 2.5, boost peaks at only 11.6 psi which really doesn't matter because if your swapping engines, odds are your putting in a larger turbo. But yea, I dont really know of any other engines that are commonly dropped into the WRX, and personally, thats the only other engine i would think about putting in mine.
Q: How do you remove the steering wheel from a 2001 Subaru Impreza?
I recently totaled my 2001 Subaru Impreza...oops. So now I'm trying to salvage some of the parts, including the steering wheel. Does anyone have any knowledge on this matter? I believe I need a T30 torx bit in order to get the first bolts off, I'm hoping I can do this without a puller as well.
A: well if its already totaled remove the center of wheel, should be at least 4 bolts from the back side of the wheel so you will have to turn wheel to get them all. remove center nut, pull on wheel and hit the bolt in center of wheel to get wheel to break loose and come off. careful not to hit self in face with wheel when it comes off.
Q: Why does a subaru impreza sound like its on 3 cylinders at the exhaust?
Why does a subaru impreza sound like its on 3 cylinders at the exhaust? The engine sounds like it has a misfire. They all do it. Thanks
I don't think that's the reason, the car makes this noise whilst parked up too. Traction control would not be used then but thanks for answering... any other suggestions people? Cheers
A: It's because the engine has horizontally opposed cylinders (boxer engine). As a result of this the headers are of unequal length. This gives the exhaust the distinctive burble. Hope this helps.
Q: How many quarts of trans fluid in a 1995 Subaru Impreza?
I have a 1995 Subaru Impreza, four door, all-wheel drive. A buddy of mine was draining the oil when he realized it was the trans fluid. I'm in the middle of a move and have no clue where my manual is packed. I think the car holds about four quarts, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks.
A: 3.8 qts
Q: What would be a good aftermarket exhaust for a 2008 subaru impreza 2.5i?
2008 subaru impreza 2.5i 4 dr sedan
no mods so far but will have turbo, air intake, headers.
i want a good brand(magnaflow, flowmaster, remus etc.) can be any price and i don't want to do any big customizations or fabrication. thanx.
A: Get yourself a Magnaflow Catback exhaust system, they sound great and give a good amount of power. If you really want that Subaru Boxer rumble to,get the Catback exhaust system and unequal length headers, then it'll sound like a lion roaring!
Q: What would be a good price to negotiate on a brand new 2009 Subaru Impreza?
I'm looking to buy a new 2009 Subaru Impreza in about a month. The MSRP is $19,407. Obviously I can talk them down seeing that 2010's are already out and the car will greatly depreciate the minute I leave the lot. Anyone have any price suggestions? I'm hoping to talk them down to $17,000.
A: That depends on which model, trim and where you reside. The invoice price varies greatly once again depending on which model you are looking to purchase.
From $17,651.00 - $33,035.00. In addition, Subaru has rebates available depending on where you live. The current dealer Subaru holdback is 2% of the Total MSRP (Amount may differ in the Northeast).
If you are looking at the 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i AWD 4-Dr Wagon then the invoiced amount is approximately $18,115 in the Pacific Northwest.
You may also be looking at the 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i AWD 4-Dr Sedan in which case the invoiced amount is approximately $17,651.00.
The invoice values coupled with rebates and dealer holdback should get you in the neighborhood of $16,450.00 to $16,835.00.
Good Luck.
Q: Recommendations for a universal auxiliary input for my 2006 Subaru Impreza?
I want to connect my MP3 player directly to the stock head unit of my 2006 Subaru Impreza. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find an easy-install kit for my car. Any suggestions?
A: Get someone else to do it :|
OR - take it to your local Halfords.. and ask them if they can show you which media players are compatible with your car, and how they would fit it in.. then after pretending to think about it, tell them you've decided against buying a new one.. and walk out with the free knowledge of how to install it =)
Q: Need to find a good carseat to fit in a subaru Impreza?
Im expecting in November, and i've been searching high and low for a good infant car seat to buy that will fit in the backseat of my 2 door subaru impreza L?
A: I don't know that this is going to help you much, but we had the same problem with our impreza. We ended up with a Graco rear facing pumpkin seat that we got at a shower, but it never fit well. The best fit we got was by moving the seat to the center of the rear seat, but it still required that we had to move the seats up.
In the end, we sold ours and got a larger car, which may not have been needed. Within a year they will be where they can turn around and those seats take up much less room.
Q: How much can I bring down the price on a new 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX?
I'm about to buy a new 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX next week and the invoice price is 24,000 and I will be putting 4000 cash. How much do you think I can bring the price down and get it out the door for?
A: WRXs are fairly popular... I would guess you could offer 20,000.00 and settle at 22,000.00 ... call the credit union or bank, and ask what the loan value is....the loan value is the most the credit union will give you..
so your maximum that you can pay is the loan value plus 4000.00...
If the loan value is 18,000.00 your first offer should be 18,000.00
4000.00 cash and 14,000.00 financed...
your next offer would be 19, but you cannot exceed 22... because 18+ 4 =22....
